As part of the wholesale destruction of US Foreign Assistance efforts, I received my termination notice effective April 2, 2025. The organization I worked for, ACDI/VOCA, had done amazing work to support people and communities around the world for more than 60 years.

I did not expect nor want my career in communications to end so soon. I feel very fortunate to have spent the last of my 36 years as a professional communicator at ACDI/VOCA. I am honored to have been trusted to take on this role and serve this incredible group of people alongside my amazing team. I will work again, but I feel like something different is next, once I have come apart at the seams, processed what was and accepted what is.

One of the ways I have coped with major changes in my life is by using art to express some of the thoughts and feelings, realizations and wisdom that come to me during my reflection (and sometimes rumination).

I have been creating and sharing these via posts on LinkedIn since April. I had this domain from a long-ago consultancy and thought I would resurrect it as a blog so that my art and thoughts could be collected in one place.

My intention in sharing these is to help those navigating turbulence, change, uncertainty, grief, discovery, reinvention, disintegration….you know, life.
